Last year we raised over $20,000 on the silent auction alone to help fund our annual $25,000 scholarship that supports a local area student to attend Michigan, who may not otherwise be able to attend. The Congressional Breakfast is our premier event for the year with more than 300 attending. This year, our Congressional Breakfast will be held on March 26, 2009.
We are looking for silent auction donations --
In the past, we have had great success with the following items:
- Special one of a kind items / tours / opportunities
- Restaurant gift certificates
- Museum tours
- Sports tickets (Redskins, Nationals, Wizards, etc)
- Theater tickets / gift certificates
- Michigan related items
- Out of town getaways / Vacation homes and rentals
- Other interesting items
However, due to the limited space for our silent auction, we are especially targeting items with a value of $50 or more.
I have attached our donation letter and donation form, and please let me know if you have any questions or ideas for special items that we can feature at the silent auction.
